What to Expect

Initial Visit

On the first visit we will help you identify the cause of your problems.

It is recommended that you arrive at the office fifteen minutes before your appointment time to complete the necessary paperwork. By downloading and filling out the paperwork prior to your first appointment this extra time can be saved.

A detailed history will be taken that will include your health history, family history, lifestyle, recreational and work related physical activities.

A thorough examination will include an orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examination to determine how you can best be helped. This will determine if your problem is indeed a chiropractic case.

A low dose set of x-ray images may be taken to see the condition of the joints in your spine. Specific angulations, measurements, and curvatures will be noted. We will also check for malformations, fractures, or signs of pathology.

Second Visit - Report of Findings

On the second visit, which is later the same day, or the day following your first visit, you will receive a report of findings from your examination.

We will present a copy of your report to take home with you. We will go over your exam results showing where your problems are and the details of the problem. We will present your x-rays and explain the findings to you. In most cases an anatomical model of the spine will be used to ensure your comprehension of the findings.

We will then tell you the amount of improvement you can expect in your condition, as well as how long it will likely take to achieve meaningful results. You will be given an individualized treatment schedule and a re-exam date where we can determine your progress.

Save 15 minutes your first appointment by printing and filling out your paperwork ahead of time.
