Hi, I’m Dr. Stuart Hoven, owner of Winterset Family Chiropractic in Winterset, IA and Clarke County Chiropractic in Osceola, IA.

We are private chiropractic clinics focusing on patient care utilizing the Gonstead system of chiropractic.

We take care of complete families from newborn to over ninety years old. The specialty of chiropractic focuses on the spine and maximizing the efficiency of the nerve system. We provide initial relief care, rehabilitative and corrective care, and wellness care.

My Life:         

I received my undergraduate studies and chiropractic pre-requisites at Buena Vista University and Indian Hills Community College. I then proceeded to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy.

Professional Memberships:

My wife (Collette) and I have 6 children: Nikolas, Jocylyn, Sydney, Kylene, Reilly, and Ezekiel. They keep me very busy and active and bring me joy every day.

My oldest son, Nikolas, had problems with his ears before I was a chiropractor. We learned about how chiropractic can help your body function naturally as it should. Through chiropractic care he was saved from the many drugs and surgeries that many children have faced. All of our children since have been adjusted regularly since birth, keeping them healthy, full of life and vigor!

Dr. Nicholas Ashman - at Winterset clinic

Hi, I’m Dr. Nicholas Ashman. I am located in the Winterset, IA clinic. I grew up in Cedar, IA and went to high school in Eddyville, IA.I am a 2003 graduate of Marshalltown Community College, and also a 2005 graduate of St. Ambrose University. I then enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2009.

While at Palmer, I had many great experiences and opportunities including a Clinic Abroad trip to Bahia, Braziland serving as a Clinical Teaching Assistant. I strive to promote health and wellness to all of my patients through chiropractic care. I am excited about working with patients of all ages at Winterset Family Chiropractic.

I played 4 years of collegiate baseball, 2 at MCC and 2 at SAU. Baseball remains one of my passions outside the office. I love going to Iowa City on Saturdays for Iowa Hawkeyes football games inside Kinnick Stadium. I also enjoy the outdoors especially bird hunting with my German Shorthaired Pointer, Wrigley.

Dr. Vaughn Reents at Osceola clinic

Hi, I'm Dr. Vaughn Reents. I am located in the Osceola, IA clinic. Prior to moving to Osceola, I lived in Lino Lakes, MN. I am the youngest of four siblings, and grew up in Shoreview, MN. I like being involved in my community and enjoy golfing, biking, tennis and hiking. My interest in golf makes me an ideal resource for the treatment and prevention of golf and/or sports related injuries. 

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethel University in 1987 and my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Northwestern Health Sciences University in 1995. After five years working with my mentor, a leading Gonstead doctor, I decided to expand my skill set by working in a multicultural and diverse practice in Minneapolis. 

Later, an opportunity to work in a multi disciplinary practice in Manitowoc Wisconsin took me to the shores of Lake Michigan. More recently, I have been practicing in Fulton, Missouri with another Gonstead doctor. I now come to Clarke County Chiropractic with over 15 years of chiropractic experience working with a variety of patients and a passion for helping people achieve their health goals.

Celia Fuller at Osceola

Celia is one of our front desk chiropractic assistants since June, 2011. You will be greeted with Celia's smile and gentleness with 1st class service during a visit to our Osceola office. Celia will make you feel right at home!

Johnna McNeley at Winterset and Osceola offices

Johnna is our Practice Representative sharing Chiropractic with the public since July, 2007. She has 20+ years experience working with people and looks forward to working with you also.

Jacob Gardner at Winterset

Jacob joined our team in October, 2010, and is Certified as a Chiropractic Assistant. Jacob's role as our Active Care Coordinator works with you to strengthen and support your adjustment for maximum benefit of your adjustment. Jacob’s caring personality and gentle instruction will make you confident of your excellent health care choice.

Collette Hoven at Winterset and Osceola offices

Collette joined our team in June, 2009. She is the office manager, handles book keeping and assists with any area needed in the office. Collette is multi talented and an asset to have in our office.

Jamie Adkins at Winterset

Jamie is one of our front desk chiropractic assistants since January, 2010. Jamie is Certified as a Chiropractic Assistant. You will typically be greeted with Jamie's smile and 5 star service during a morning visit to our office. Jamie will make you feel right at home!
